Only the very best and most carefully selected pieces of wood from our timber stock are used in the V model series. Otherwise, the V model series refines the construction features of the IV model series.

The 353BG F-alto (treble) recorder is made from bubinga, which gives the instrument a clear and excellent tone.
The oils used to treat the inner bore and parts of the outer surfaces are free from additives and, where available, are of pharmaceutical grade purity.

The characteristic FEHR sound is achieved through specialised craftsmanship techniques dating back to the founder, Hans Conrad Fehr, which have been refined and improved by the instrument makers at the FEHR workshop over the decades.
Ergonomic design
It is often the small details that determine whether a recorder is comfortable to play or not. In addition to the position and size of the tone holes, it is the diameter and shape of the foot joint that make it easier for the little finger of the right hand to reach the lowest tone holes.
