As is so often the case in mixed-ensemble performances, the most beautiful recorder-playing, even the most animated, is acoustically restrained. 

Bass and lower recorders in particular struggle to form the desired sonorous foundation.
So what can be done?

In this episode we are therefore going to take a look at the different types of microphones.
Primarily, one can distinguish between external and internal miking. And, as always, there are advantages and disadvantages to both types.
